Since starting working as a Learn to Swim Instructor at SGAC over 2 years ago, our superstar instructor, Emma has already achieved so much, including being nominated as the AustSwim swimming teach of the year!

We spent 60 seconds with Emma so you can get to know a little bit about her!

1.       How long have you been working at SGAC?

I’ve been here for about 2 years now!

2.       What is your favourite thing about working at SGAC Aquatics?

I enjoy the great team environment at SGAC and watching children progress with their swimming- it’s very rewarding.

3.       What do you think is the most important advice you can give to children who are new to the learn to swim program?

That the instructor is there to support and assist your child. It is also important that a trusting relationship is developed between teacher and child to ensure the child can achieve their best!

4.       What can we find you doing when you’re not working at SGAC?

When I’m not at SGAC I’m studying Primary School teaching at university. You may also find me catching up on some TV!

If you have any queries about our Learn to Swim program offerings at SGAC, give our friendly team a call on 9851 5811.
